Fantastic! although I hate these guys, but I admit it is beautiful! how did made the equipment?? I have a funny experience, I have minolta 5 and lens, the lens can focus on distance 80cm, but I made 10 cm with a funny thing, it is a magnifier glass costed 25 cent, because I don't have enough money to buy macro lens for 400$,and it works, if I buy the lens on 105mm, it will be very useful, I invite to see my photos, I am not pro, but I am byilding my hoppy.

Thanks Amitava! The exposition was 1/320 but most bugs are slow enough to be photographed with 1/100 or even slower shutters. The biggest problem is the wind. With DoF of about 2-3mm it is extremely difficult to focus properly if the subject rocks back and forth with an amplitude of 10cm :)

Fantastic shot, especially given the equipment you used. How ini the world did you get the bug to stay still enoough for a long enough time? Even the antennae are still. You didn't specify the shutter speed, but I assume it wasn't in the <1/250 range.
