Carsten, thank you for your comments. I enjoy the in camera work more than on computer. My German reading skills are OK, my writing not so good so I apologise for not writing in German. In Australia when I grew up my parents were told not to speak German to me so I would learn English, a very bad policy and I resent the teachers that told my parents this stupidity.

Carsten

Nice view. There's actually more than one tree, but I get the gist of what you are trying to show.
I love the sky and think you could make more of it by cropping and reducing the amount of foreground grass. There is no interest there apart from its nice texture and tone and it just seems to take too great a proportion of space.

A well-proportioned (Sky-field 2:1) picture. Very appropriate use of red filter for this kind of sky. Very nice composition: the tree is in the better position, white clouds in the center of the frame. Compliments.7+++ Ciao Paolo

thanks Mike, because I used a red filter and a red filter only lets red in, the other colours became very dark. Therefore the green tree and blue sky become dark. The grass was a warm orange/yellow and therefore a lot of its light came onto the film. If I had used a green filter I would have had a lighter tree and becuase green has a fair bit of yellow in it I would have still had a good sky which I could have further enhanced on a computer or in the darkroom. Next time I will carry a green as well and give that a shot. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you James, I am still learning and having fun. The contrast is mainly due to that red filter, it really makes for a high contrast sky.

Excellent contrast, I have recently been trying to print b&w in a darkroom and would be very happy to get a print like that. I like the amount of texture in both the forground and sky.
