About This mosque was built between AD 876 and AD 879 by an Abbasid governor sent from Baghdad to rule over Egypt, Ahmed Ibn Tulun.

The mosque that he had built over a period of three years of mudbrick became the focal point of the Tulunid capital that lasted only 26 years. It was the third congregational mosque to be built in what is now greater Cairo, and at approximately 26,318 square meters in size, is the third largest mosque in the world. It is considered one of Egypt's largest mosques and it is the oldest mosque in Egypt that has survived in a fairly original form.

Camera settings: 1/80 sec - f/13.

Hi Fadel,
Thanx a lot for your advice, it really distracts me and I didn't know how to correct it.
It's nice to take the advice of a PS master like you.
Thanx again dear friend,
Khaled.

Very powerful image Khaled, and what a sky!!
By the way, you can get rid of the white curve on the right side of the dome easily using the "clone stamp tool" and setting its mode to "darken". Wonderful my friend!

What a beautiful and dramatic presentation, Khaled, befitting the mosque's history and importance! (Thank you for your 'abouts' on these - fascinating and informative!) Maybe you could clone out that white sign on the right?
Fantastic photo my friend!

Hi Kareem,
About the sky, I adjusted the levels and contrast of the whole image using layers with PS8 and that was the result.
This is the original photo without any changes what so ever.
Thanx for your comments and support....Regards my friend,
Khaled.

Wow impressive image of this mosque under such a colored sky with heavy clouds. This gives rise to a great atmosphere, Khaled.
I would probably remove the small sign at the right of the mosque, in MHO.
This a beautiful shot my friend
