About I had my eye on this scene for quite a while, the angle was choosen so I just had to wait for the right tide and light. I got it last Sunday but even though it was at sunset I still got some hot areas especially to teh right of teh image. The colour is pretty much as recored - I just added a slight hint of colour to the top right to balance the tone. Shot on RAW

I'm not sure why it hasn't been a bigger hit, myself - I think you nailed the sunset colour pretty much perfect for the mood you want, and the composition works. I think with an ND grad filter you could maybe bring more detail out of the foreground, but to keep this mood the balance in the exposure you have now fits pretty nicely.

Hi Manu,

For some reason I find it very difficult to maintain a perfectlly flat horizon with this lens .. I have visual assistance in the viewfinder also and still it is almost impossible to get it 100% perfect. I will admit that it is not bad on this shot and I only really noticed with your comment.

Thanks for pointing it out though, I though this image would have been a bigger hit - I personally love it.

Great composition and subject matter. But whenever I see a horizon it either has to be bang on or totally off...I know this is picky but the horizon could do with dropping a little on the left......so shoot me!

Well done, also love the hues.

Beautiful work! Very nice colors and a very effective angle - the railings draw the eyes into the picture without being overwhelming. Excellent DOF.

Very nice use of the railings in the composition. Beautiful late evening colors. Nice work. Don.
