I know it must be an optical illusion, but like David - I can only see the footprints extruding from the sand! I like that you've chosen to photo the footprints across the diagonal, and I especially like the way it is off-centre in it's frame - an effect which I thought looked even better when I viewed your whole portfolio and saw more of them grouped together.

Eh, minimalistic :-). Just the diagonale, and that's it. Enough for good mark :-). 7/7

Great catch! What a nice moment frozen for a while by "one set of footprints on the sands". Cheers

wonderful photo. Sure the idea has been done often but you did really well with this one. One thing with me is that when I look at those photos the footprints always seem to come out instead of going into the sand. It takes some time for my brain to "switch". But even then it often pops back out.
Does that happen to anyone else, too?

Ray, this is one of those you had to be in the right place at the right time images. Fortunately the waves provide many open opportunities for there to be more right times. Still you captured the simplicity of this image as it presented itself. The angle of the footprints into the top of the photo make it more interesting. The utter smoothness of the sand punctuated by the ever-so-slight indentations really creates a stunning work of art. I will add this to my favorites.
