Klifton this is a lovely image. I think it works in either black and white or color. They are so very different! Just my opinion, those beautiful blue eyes with the hint of yellow combined her skin tone (tiny freckles) leave me feeling a little "inappropriate". In a respectful manner of course!

I like the B/W only version. The only one blue eye looks kinda strange. The composition here is perfect. Your wife is beautiful! =)

this is great Klifton. I really like the cropping. what would really be cool is having the same image desaturated as you do above but leave the pretty blue color in her eyes.

Somehow, I don't know how, this picture turned out great without doing anything to it, except for desaturating it. And actually, it looks pretty good in color too.
I didn't do any post-editing or cropping. Though, it was done at full telephoto on my P&S digital (approx 380mm, 35mm equiv. according to the manufacturer), it was done indoors, with natural light at ISO 50 (again, according to the camera, probably closer to ISO 100).
