About This is a black and white inversion of a slide of a high mountain dried lake bed taken two summers ago in New Mexico. I played with the post-processing to see if I could mimic infra-red characteristics. I liked the dramatic effect of the clouds next to the trees and the texture of the ground. Just for fun. No technical data recorded.

Thanks, Lee. The texture of the field is interesting, isn't it. It was fun to see it come into play after the inversion. Thanks, again. Rodney

Thank you, Todd. After looking at some of your photographs in your portfolio I'm impressed with your composition abilities. Your images feel crisp, and cleanly (not just clearly - if you know what I mean) help the viewer focus on what you are focusing upon. Well done! Rodney

Thank you, George. I've still got a long way to go to mimic infrared, and I still want to get a filter and do it that way. In the meantime, I'll keep trying this way. By the way, I began looking at your portfolio and Act of Faith is one of my favorites. Great detail and use of focus. Again, thank you. Rodney

Well, I'm impressed. I've been toying around in an effort to get this good an effect. Sometime ago, I had a successful method, but I've carefully forgotten it!

Regards,
--George
