Missed this one Mark...full of loneliness and a hint of terror also. Like the faded tones/colors and the focus on the chair..well done

Manu

Great, just great. By the way, I am moving you to my associates list, from friends - more appropriate there as I do not know you but will still be able to follow your posts. :)

Hi Liane

Thanks for your comments. How do I find my locations? usually from research if I have a particular project in mind. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to stumble on one when I'm out and about but not very often.

Cheers
Mark

Another wonderful photo Mark. How do you find your locations, do you happen upon them or do you do research?
All the best,
Liane

Hi Debashis

No problem I have copied the image to my hard drive and will work on it. I will send you the finished copy and if you like it I will walk you through the process.

Can you give me your email address it maybe easier to do it that way than through this site. My email address is firstlight@hnpl.net

Cheers
Mark

Mark ...

This image says "Sarajevo" to me, a picture of the fallout of the Bosnian conflict. I really like the mood you display here.

I need your help. A while back you commented on an image of mine and you retouched it (http://www.usefilm.com/image/558026.html). I asked you how you did it and you responded again. I have another picture that could use the same retouching but I followed your methodology and got nowhere. Could you take a look and walk me through it.

I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Fabrizio

Thanks for your comments. I too thought about the sepia approach but the image was too warm for me.
I like the feeling conveyed by the colder tones evident in the image.

Regards

Mark

great feel of loneliness here - someone left behind - just waiting. Love this one. The spotlight on the chair is exceptional. K

The presence of the solitary chair, unobstructed, and "waiting" causes one to momentarily overlook the backdrop.....a chilling flashback to your earlier "Institution" series. The limited DOF is perfect for this presentation. Great work, Mark! ..Brad

I like it! Loneliness and thoughts... I tried converting it to sepia, but I'm not really convinced about the result...
