About	The flower was an excellent example so I decided on a classic pose of this yellow tulip, the petals were "pointy" and not rounded like the ones on my red tulip images, hence the "Golden Crown" title. Camera set to macro, white balance to tungsten preset and picture quality to minimum compression. ISO set to 64, tripod used and timer release. Lighting provided by a single light, some reflected back just with white paper. I would have preferred to avoid the shadow just below the flower head. This is my final tulip shot so please enjoy and let me know what you think.

I will tell you what I think. I think you have a very good "handle" on what you are doing here. Nice photo and a very nice description , showing you spent some time putting this together rather than just ripping of a shot. very good !
