Your detail here in the middle is amazing. this has got to be one of the best detailed shots I have ever seen so far. The middle is surrounded by such softness. so elegant. but even the detail in the soft part of the flower is amazing too. it looks like someone took a paintbrush moving up and painted the detailed lines. And then you capture all the light directly in the middle. it's perfection!!!

Ok John, who was this Valentine bouquet REALLY for? Your wife? Or you? ;- )

A beautiful shot. I've been reading about Georgia O'Keeffe recently. This reminds me a lot of some of her flower paintings. The reviewers of her flower paintings often called them sensual and sexual, pointing out that they were pictures of the flowers "intimate" parts.
Hmmm, perhaps you should have checked "adult content".
I am, of course, teasing. It's a very lovely image.
