Normally I'm not very fond of micro shots, but this one is just beautiful! There's something mysterious in it. The red/yellowish glow in the stone, I think it's a reflection from the light, is very nice!

Thats smart - a friemd of mine have taken pictures with a binocular infront of the camera?!? - he says that the pictures was realy good - I havent seen them my self yet so I don't know how good they were :)
But it is good to experement...

Thanks for you comments Mats. I'd like to play with the pictures. But I'm not good at PhotoShop. I put the pictures without change.
The pic you put is very nice... I'll try to catch the same feeling. That helps me to practice the PS.
It was a very simple magnifying glass. They sell it as a toy for children, and costs me less than 1 USD. I don't think we need very expensive tools.

Ice - it looks like ice, Magnifying glass - hmmm have to try that - thanks for the tip.
If you increase the Contrast and decrease the brightnes to remove the reflections from the glass and give it more depth.
