I agree with you -- it is an intriguing view and the lighting is filled with mood and a sense of expectation like a set design for a movie. Don't rue living where you do -- there is MUCH to see and photograph that no one else can -- it is as rich a place for first rate photography as any. Keep looking with expectation and creativity. ;)

Interesting shot with nice use of light i think, from dark to fully light with the lamps well coming out of the picture. Also nice contrast of old and new (street vs building vs lamps). Well done!

Interesting photo..I think there's a bit too much contrast between the bright right part and the bottom of the image. I like the composition and the feeling of desolation.
