City - Nablus State - PALESTINE-WEST BANK Country - Israel
About
This photo was taken in the small streets of the old city of Nablus, this man was walking and his face was unhappy, you can't find it during this situstion, shooting, killing, no fair, How could people be happy? my city is closed, checkpionts surround it, making life harder and harder, 40% don't work after the intfada, many poor, few happy, but there is still hope, Notice his right hand, God Bless You! Thanks for watching, comments are Wellcomed. ------------------------------- f\3.5, 1/60, iso 100 www.passia.org To usefilm: why Don't you put palestine in the list??? I live here.
Good shot of religeous person walking along ancient walls. I understand all your points, Kareem. But have no answer. My sister's family lives in Israel with her husband and 2 kids. She is musician and he is teacher of music as well. And I just hope that they will be all safe. Violence produces violence. Love produces love. My brother in-law didn't kill anyone. I hope he and his family will not be killed as well.
hi Kareem, i like your picture(s) a lot. regards from germany. i am new with usefilm.com. Maybe i can put you as an friend or something in the community, would like to see more of your work.
My friend Armando, what you said is true, but the main problem here is from occupation, we don't have tanks, or F-16/15 flying and hit one ton bomb in the old city of nablus to more than 10 people because there was man with automatic gun, the Israeli wants us to do nothing, and they want ot have everything, like the USA is doing, the palestinians accepted what the roman slaves didn't accept, there are mistakes, but half of the citizins of palestine are in refugee camps, if you come and live with us 6 months, you will feel the way we are living, also I want to tell most of the people don't want fighting, what we need is truth, justice, I am not with killing, bombing, also Dr.rafael is my friend, also they present nothing about the crimes israel is doing, but they presents all the palestinians actions, the media control is in the hand of the jewish, especially in the US, so that is normal, find out the heads of the media in the US. Even in Euronews they presents 10% of what happening here. www.passia.org My best Regards come and see palestine one day, Kareem here is an old palestinian money, you will find hebrew on it.
This is a winning capture, it has the most attractive and well balanced image, easy to catch the eyes, I like it very much, really outstanding subject. Well done.Saeed
I had imagined it, we call it rosary, but has the same function. I don?t see many things to change in this photo, maybe the old man is a bit confused with the background, but just a bit and not in a very disturbing way. I tried to blur it with PS, not in a perfect way, I?m not an expert, but just to let you understand how the photo can change with a less distracting background. Bye, Max

Fantastic at all Kareem...Good job. All the best from cold snowy Amsterdam. Your friend, Riny.
It is called masbaha, they count the praises by it, I think each turn 33, I have never used it, they say "Praise be to god", the people who have a strong believe use it all the time, I think the christians have also like it, old people her usually use it. thanks for your comments, can you tell where the point of weakness this photo? this is what helps me. Best wishes Kareem
Again a sad story in your photo? but this is reality, we can only hope that something will change, personally I am trusting! The photo? sad but beautiful, with a great mood, excellent BW tones, I noticed something in his hand, but I didn?t really understand what ;) Bye, Max
Believe me, from the thumbnail from the first look I remembered the late Palestinian leader Arafat, may God have mercy on him. Inta mosamim matektebsh filasteen? Good work Kareem, Khaled.
Kareem: this picture is simply good and strong, with excellent details and your about explains what your and your people are living. I know that we are here supposedly only to speak of Photography, but, we cannot make the blinds in front a world where people are suffering, whichever are their country or beliefs. The truth is that also here I have friends from Israel like the Dr, Rafael Springman and now you are in my friends list too , because I believe that without caring nationalities neither religious beliefs we should try to live as brothers like we make it here in UF, I know that it sounds stupid and also I know of the horrible things that lives your people and people from Israel. In my country during a lot of time were amid the terrorist groups facing to the Army, or of many terorist attacks where hundred of people died every day, for that reason I know well the Pain of both nations. I wait that one Day very soon the things change and both nations get the peace with dignity. Never lose the hope, because whichever it is the God in that you believe, he will never close a door without opening another. Excuse me the sermon dear friend, receives a strong hug, have a lot of faith and God bless you: D
You have captured the feeling of what you described very well Kareem, the slouch, the beads... We can only hope things will get better and not worse. The photo has great tones and contrast and beautiful lighting. You have done a wonderful job. Keep safe. Alison
