States apart, and yet we same to share the same climate. I just posted some of the results of a nice dense fog here in Kansas, and the results on our scraggly trees. Tried to get close to that personal and muted feeling you have running through your photographs. It was a quiet soft time and throught that the atmosphere would come across.

They look a lot like New Mexico oaks only bigger, naturally! ;-) I love the emotional, atmospheric effect of the fog. It accentuates the bizarre form of the oaks perfectly. Oaks have always fascinated me with their tortured, twisty limbs -- your image captures them very well. I could wish for a little more detail in the trunks but that's my only quibble. May be that extra detail would ruin the mood.
