Y'know...I meant to say "by-gone" with a "g"...I don't know why my fingers can't seem to find the right keys lately!
Still...a great photo!

Thanks, James, for your kind words!
These were taken in Dearborn, MI at Greenfield Village - ever hear of it? It's a big tourist spot where Ford (as in Henry) bought several homes, buildings, and other historical items. There is a village with homes, shops, working farms, etc, as well as a museum. People that work in the village dress in period clothing. The girl with the book was an employee that was going over plantings, harvests, and livestock records. The bench photo, however, were some Amish guests (or Mennonites) - probably on holiday from IN (Shipshawana is about 3 hours from there, if that) - that were waiting for the women folk that were in the restroom. =) In the color version of this photo, they all have on pastel shirts of different colors.

Do you have Amish or Mennonites up there? These last two posts of yours are very good! Of course, I've come to expect that from you ;)
These are sort of "Wyeth-esque"...very traditional, by-bone era in their feel. With the right printing treatment they'd make nice fine art pieces.
