About	Taken about 5 minutes from town. On the right are the cotton crops, this one has already been cleared. On the left is another crop, possibley corn. The clouds were very dark and threatening and resulted in thunderstorms.

Fantastic landscape Judi with an awesome sky. That dividing part looks as though it could be used as a runway for light aircraft.

That's very interesting Larry. Have you heard of the nullabor. It is a road that goes from Perth(We4stern Australia) right through to South Australia. It is dead straight withe generally the same vegetation all the way. It takes about a full day to drive it....now that is big and flat and no woods or towns. Actually I lie...there is a service station. LOL!!

Judi, This vast area intrigues me. How do the farmers avoid getting lost in field so big--just kidding.
My area of Pennsylvania is all hills and mountains, some pretty big potato and corn farms, but most can see woodland or highway, When I was young and visited my cousins in Michigan one summer, I spent the whole day in the middle of a field like in your picture, picking tomatoes with them, seemed endlesss. This is next state west of PA, Ohio and Michigan have large fields.

When I was in Boston Mass area several years ago, I was amazed at their cemetries, drive for miles and see them on both sides of the roads. It was where people would settle when they came to America in the early days, and many died there also. My mouth dropped!! Very dense poplulation area.
