About This little boy looks suspiciously as I took his picture on a pedestrian way beside a trainstation in Jakarta. There are many children under age who has to work helping their parents who jobless or working as beggars. This boy is carrying a sack filled with used items picked from any recycle bins he found on his trip, then afterwards, sell it to a certain merchant. The item could be ex-mineral water bottles, cans, or anything. At his age, he is supposed to go to school and playing with his friends. But for sure, nature teaches him how to survive. May he become stronger and hard to broke. BW conversion, toning, burning & dodging in PS.

This is a wonderful picture, Hanggan. The colouring definately suits the mood. Pity that such a sweet young face should have to reflect such hardships. Mary

Hi Hanggan,
There are a lot of this kind of children in Philippines also. I really feel sorry for their situation. That's why most of my interest in photography are in this people. I thought that maybe and somehow thru my photos I can touch people's heart.

This is a very powerful photo, my friend. It really takes good courage and motivation in order to take this shot. I love what you did to the tone, very depressing and lonely atmosphere. And her eyes speaks a lot. I really love it, now, I can say we really have something in common when it comes to subjects! :)

Oh by the way, thanks for your comment on my image. And for the understanding you have shared for my cousin. I just hope that everything will soon turn out fine for her and her family. :)

Keep Shootin' From The Heart,
LarryM.P.

Good catch of the boy, Hanggan! It's too bad some kids have to grow up this way.

A beautiful capture. Especially the look on the boys face.
Sad though that he cannot play with his friends and have fun as boys his age should...
