About I took this photo while hiking in Kings Canyon National Park. The trail climbed 1200 feet in a little over two miles. It was kind of tough, but well worth the trip with the excellent views above the canyon. The view from here looking north (not in the picture) was pretty incredible of the towering Monarch Divide. I'll post pictures of that soon.

Excellent shot and detail. This would look good framed and hanging on the wall. Congratulations on such a fabulous photograph. 7+

Very nicely composed and the colors are very natural.
I do like the depth created from the use of the foreground with the layers of mountains fading into the background.

David. YOu have access to some beautiful views and you capture them so well. Thankyou for your kind words on my work.

Hi David, compared to other trails I've done, it wasn't tough, but for some reason, I had a tough day hiking that one. It was my first hike of the season so I really wasn't in that great of shape.

Hey David 1200 feet in 2 miles is nothing - 2 miles is 12000 ( 1 in 10) feet - last weekend on my Junction Lake walk we climbed 350metres in 1.2 Kms which equals 1000 feet in 4000 feet ( 1 in 4) . Come on tough guy - you can do it - by they way we all had 40 pound packs for overnight camping ( 46 for me with my camera gear) - all true - good work David just the same :-)
