Great pan steve. Also enjoyed your humble bio. I was keen to give you some 'mean' feedback, but I can't really fault the photography!

Thanks Bob...
I panned the camera - not altogether easy with a P&S nikon coolpix4300 - it's a bit hit and miss as to when the photo gets taken afeter you hit the button! - still some of the photos from the day turned out ok.
The motion has been enhanced *slightly* in PS - and extended over the edge, along with some colour tweaks.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Hi Steve, Good job capturing the speed and danger in this photo. There are not many places left where this type of racing is allowed. (organized through the streets) I think it used to be the norm, now it is the exception. Andre

Great action shot, like to motion effect on the background, did you pan the camera or were you riding a longside the bikes the blured right and left edges add to the motion sense, infact look to long close to the screen gives me a slight feeling of motion sickness. But that gave me to opportunity to lean back and enjoy the photo. Great job. Bob

Hi AJ -
Yes it is on public roads.. and yes it is organised. The speeds they get to on *very narrow* streets of a small town here in NZ called Paeroa - are just incredible.
The public only seperated from the action by a very flimsy mesh fence.
i am fairly ahppry with how this pic captures some of the spirit of the race.\
Thanks for your comments !
Kindest Regards
Steve

Great sense of speed. Looks like it's on a public road. But then there appear to be people watching. And there's the "Motor Sh.." giveaway behind, so I guess this is actually some sort of organised battle... AJ
