Linda, Thanks for your comments. It is related to the Cormorant ( I had to go to the "Web" to find this out). http://www.catlins-nz.com/nature.html They are very socail birds and often will see many nests in the same tree.

Gary I was looking at bird images and I saw this one of yours. This is really nice. It's a beautiful bird. I don't think I've ever seen one before. Excellent capture, and wonderful detail. I notice the webbed feet, so it's obviously a water bird. I like the composition and the way you placed him in the frame and that branch he's perched on. Excellent presentation....:) Linda
