I think this is my favourite of the three......
There is something about framing these kinds of subject vertically that makes them much more dramatic and mysterious......

Oh, man, I love the heat you can feel eminating right from the image! Great capture, the red tones are mind-bendingly awesome.
Although, there is a lot of grain, unfortunately.. I'm wondering if that came from the tweaked aperture?
great image, though. very raw, but in a good way.

Again a wonderfull shot hugo! I really like the dark colours and the feeling of work. Excellent orange coloured reflections on the pipes, there is some sort of atmosphere hanging over the picture wich i really like!

This would make a great scene for a spy movie or some other dramatic thriller... I haven't worked out the details yet, but it is tense. This is extremely dramatic -- dark, hot and ominous. My new Tripod instructions say that I can't take it into conditions beyond 149 degrees F. This is approaching those limits...lol. Braaaaaavo! (It's gorgeous). A fav. I'm done. Antonia

Hugo,
for me these kinds of factories are so 'hellish' and you manage to capture this feeling so well. The combination of fire, heat, oil, grime, dirt, machinery and metal is almost overpowering... The tight framing emphasises this even more.

A very powerful and effective triptych, Hugo. All good in their different ways and sharing a strong family likeness. I visited ireon and steelworks for years when we were producing Kawasaki Steel's house magazine, but I was never allowed to photograph and always regretted it.

I really like all three of these Ore to Iron photos Hugo. You did a great job of making the machinery come to life for the viewer. The tones make all the scenes a little ominous looking and give them a very dramatic feel. These pictures remind me of the B&W industrial photos that Margaret Bourke-White did back in the 20's and 30's. I hope you don't mind, but I changed this one to B&W to see how it would look. It takes on a completely different feel.

Yes Elisa said something here - like a waterfall, but SO different! Also again a very technical perfection as a industry shot. Good colours and composition! I like the yellow with brown/black!

A technique challenge to creating striking image, light is an incredible and with experience control, the very high source ?fire? seems so soft and within control not to an element to overexpose, the correct and enough light gave an magic touch to the huge pipes system to be clear visual, a capture which can not be seen in normal daily life, it is industrial biz and very well done,Saeed

Hi Hugo, the strongest image of the series, in my opinion... Reminds me of my visit to Stromboli last summer :-) Well exposed, just enough light on the pipes, makes it a very dramatic image. It also has a good abstract quality.

From the thumbnail it looks like a lava eruption dear Hugo!
It is good, I am not a very big fan of industry ;) but it is a good shoot. I see some grain on my monitor, is it due to higher ISO/ASA!
uf.. I have also problems with my grain ;-(

Best for last,though as part of set,allthree are stronger. I like the colder steel pipeworks surrounding the molten hot center giving off orange glow. The noise in the dark outer areas adds to effect, as does slower shutter speed.

the light in this image is the best!
The way the light dwindles as it gets further away from the source, which is unusual!
Till the red light is caught on the pipes is so beautiful :)
On the top right corner theres a smudge, is it smoke?
