About This one looks better in Large--looks pixalated in Medium.
Taken through my front window. This young deer comes everyday to the feeder just outside our door. Last month she saw me watching her. It seemed as though she figured she got 'caught' being at a 'bird' feeder. She looked at me trying to convince me she actually is a bird, but couldn't think of a name. She should have known we don't mind. She is a beauty and often brings her friends.

lol Looks great to me! Im still waiting for my first deer photo! Im not to good in the cold weather so unless one comes up to window for me Ill be waiting awhile I bet! haha
Shot I just got my first couple of squirrel shoots and they were alittle soft! Hard to capture!! Will do better next time as I found out I was rushing. Went to the park where I saw hundreds of them and got alittle excited! lol You see there are noone right around where I live. Growing up we had them all around our house and they are still there. I guess it could have something to do with the cats. Also all these hillbillys that are running around with 22's :(

again nice image! thank you for sharing

Hi Mary,
Wonderful shot of the deer! There are quite a few around here now too. We see them in the Rouge Valley often, but, they keep their distance.

Well, Mary, we have a dog who thinks he's looking after US, so why shouldn't a deer try to pass itself off as a bird? (ha, ha) I'd have to go a long way to catch a deer like that in Japan, alas. A lovely picture...

A really great capture Mary! It really looks like the dear has frozen at the sight of being photographed.

You're lucky to have wildlife come so close to your own place.

Del. Thanks for your comment. The deer have been plentiful this year. Unfortunately, there have been a number of vehicle accidents as a result. Our neighbour has put up a few layers of electric fence to keep them out of their garden. They seem to know when their dog will be out and not. So, as well as beautiful, they certainly can also be pesty.

Beautiful shot Mary! Obviously there's many who envy your front yard view! Me being one;o)
I agree with PJ that you could try to add some contrast but be careful not to blow out the snow. You have a delicate balance to play with.

Hi Mary, That's neat that you shot this out your window. It does look like she got 'caught'. We've had deer come through our place and it's always a pleasure to see them(except when they eat the foilage off the apple trees).

Looks like she's posing for you. Magnificent animals. We have so many in my neighborhood that you can't have a garden. They've eatin 20 year old azalea bushes. They walk up and look in the windows. You've taken a wonderful photo.
