Well done Chris. Amazing landscape! I have never before heard of them referd to as "Pylons" Interesting how people in different parts of the country/world apply different words to the same thing....

I can never be bothered to clone out pylons in general, as you say, they are there.... why pretend otherwise...
another nicely exposed and colourd shot, like the cloud shadows, adds real texture to the shot/

An eyesore at times but also such a great subject at others! Do we need them? Now there is an interesting question..... If we all had solar cells on our roof then its very questionable we would need them... but until they can get the efficiency up and cost down and overcome the general resistance to change that people have the pylons will remain.... A classic case of NIMBYism really! We all want the power but nne of us want the pylons! Good luck with the exhibition Chris! I'm sure you'll sell loads!!! And I fully expect to see you with a raft of new lenses from the proceeds next time we meet!

Pylons? PYLONS? You mean you didn't clone them out? Why not? Is this a sudden reversal of policy? Or a delayed realization of the drama of their presence, marching across the countryside to bring all the joys of electrification to remote rural communities? Do tell! I must say I like the aspect ratio of this photo. Quite panoramian.

When I looked at your picture I thought, oh the electric towers ruin the rural landscape....then I read your "about". It's a lovely picture, Chris, but I would like it better if you "erased" the towers :-) Regards, Larry

Good luck to you, Chris! This is an excellent scenic, and while I agree with you about the sight of powerlines, somehow you've managed to incorporate them right into your shot. Dave.

Hi Chris, My thoughts exactly.... Your phrasing is obviously better, though. Impressive how you manage to come up with 3 gems a day (disregarding the slightly blown out one) Impressive.
Cheers,
