lovely! She is so cute.
I think the contrast is just fine. After seeing the color version, I think I even prefer it. I like the warm light from the sun very much.

Arwa - how is your monitor callibrated? The white of the dress and the white of the chair are different on mine :) Here is the colour orig.

Dear Amanda! Although im high contrast groupie :P
I would prefer a little less contrast here, to show the different texture of the chair and the girls dress, they seem to blend together and its hard to figure out where one starts and the other ends
If your focus was only on the boots it lost because I cant get my eyes off the side seat and dress,
The composition is wonderful as is the expression on this sweet girls face
