hey i was just brousing through and thought i might shead some light, The "saucepan" as we call it in oz is the belt and sword of orion, we see it upside down. The big dipper is a whole other constellation which can be seen in the northern hemi. but it's hard for us down here to see it.

Hi Gayle, I think the big dipper and saucepan are the same thing. As for the fruit picker, I'm sorry I had to laugh, It's not a fruit picker it's our clothes line. I probably should have cropped it out the picture.

i have to ask,is the saucepan the same as the Big Dipper?..LOL..never thought of it having a different name in another country...cool shot,or should i say "stellar" shot! ;> ...don't like that thing peeking on the left (as viewed)but find the thing on the right very appealing...some sort of fruit picker?...love the strange tone of light ...keep em' coming!..regards,gayle

You can do a lot better using a "beanbag" This one is your same camera on the top of my car. Same constellation too!
It's a pity only few can appreciate this kind of picture. Best regards Fabio
