About Composition: line, form, movement, positive and negative spaces. In the composition here the subject or point of interest is not
centered for a reason. The movement of the surfer is to the left, and in fact, down. The attention is drawn to the impending
"landing". If the left third had been "cropped" the subject would have been headed out of the image. The object, of course, is to
keep the viewer in the image. Centering (The infamous "Bulls-eye Syndrome) is also a "violation" of the rule of thirds. Go ahead
and "violate" the "rules" but know how and why.
