Yes, I use a wimberly and shoot from the tripod or from the window of my car. This shot was taken from the window on a beanbag, the light was good and I lucked out! I just looked at your images and they are beautiful. I enjoyed looking and look forward to seeing more of your beautiful birds! Thank you so much for your kind comment.

Beautiful capture the colors and detail are perfect, you must have been 30 yards out to even get him in the frame. This is the first time I have seen your portfolio, very impressive work!
Do you shoot off a wimberly head? I know that lens Is like 12lbs IS version. I tried that and the 500 and decided the 400DO and 100-400 work best for me as 90 percent of my shots are in flight. I look foward to more of your fantastic shots...

A question, do you use a little fill flash ??
