About Was on one of my escape journey from work, where I had decided to go to the mountains to spend the weekend. Had originally planned to go to Hunza, but flight got cancelled because of bad weather so had to suffice with Murree. On my way I stopped to gaze at the mountains when I stumbled upon these children playing on the road side area. I started chatting with them and then decided to have a snap just for documentary purposes. As it turned out that the three little girls were holding three younger brothers, which I thought to be an usual coincidence. If you try you can say something about their personalities by the way they are laughing and their body language. I was told by my driver that these are Kashmiris who have migrated to safer areas of Pakistan for livelihood purposes. All in all I think the children are cute and I like their smile and unadulterated innocence.

Yes Joe, it would have been interesting to see how the image became if they had looked in the camera. Attached file is the one where they looked in the camera. You see it was a bit hard to make them pose, wanted to be just themselves.
Thanks for your comment though. Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful portrait. I like the positions of the girls -- the girl on the left is leaning into the image and the girl on the right has her back to the middle -- almost like you positioned them. Nice to hear how you came upon them. -- Naomi

Great capture Saqib! The older ones seem to be having much better time than the younger ones, but this is understandable...I grew up with an older sister and they are quite outgunned :)
Thank you for including information about the shot.

You are absolutely right Arwa. I at least believe that happiness and contentment has very little to do with worldly belongings. I have seen a lot of people who are not as bestowed in monetary sense as others but they somehow seem to have all that more of faith in God and radiate satisfaction and pleasure from very small things. I have photographed people who do a lot of menial work and have been doing it all their life with very little desire to climb the corporate ladder or catch the highway to that upwardly progressive visage mall. Yet their ?subr? is unbelievable along with their satisfaction. As the picture represents family bondage has a lot to do with it.

Thanks for your stopping by appreciate that.

They go through pain and joy together! Their lifes are hard but they find joy in the most unexpected little things! This humbles me!
A very expressive portrait! you picked the best fitting focal length each member of the group is included with little breathing space on both ends!
The colors are vivid and unusual
i like it a lot!
