About Another look at the solitary tree theme.
*** I often use this tree to test equipment and techniques. For this shot I used a Tamron Circ. Polarizer.

Thanks Matthew. When I started I actually had to take a beginner's photography course, just to understand what the heck everyone was talking about. They used terms like "DOF" or "Rule of Thirds", and I had no idea what they meant. When I look at a photo what it really comes down to is do I like it or not. Thanks again for your comment, and don't worry you'll catch on to the critique thing soon enough.

Thanks Reza. You know I actually would NOT suggest that this polarizer is better than the others. I have a Hoya for my 28-80 lens and I always thought it was superior, but now I am not so sure. I just read that Hoya is producing a polarizer designed by Moose Peterson (who is my fav nature photographer) and I would love to see how that works. One good thing about the Tamron though, is it was NOT too expensive.

Wow! What a wonderful presentation! Very nice composition and color rendition. In fact, I just love the color, a mix of blue sky and brownish land... just lovely!

Thanks Phillip. Yes, Mother Nature deserves the credit for the lighting and the background on this one. There were no Photoshop adjustment to colour or contrast at all.
