About The bluebells are out but no misty mornings yet! Still, I had the chance to take some shots last weekend and have just got the film back. This image was framed by the leaves of a couple of beech trees, their fresh leaves are luminous in the sunlight and are a perfect contrast to the wild blue of the bluebells.

Such a beautiful landscape. I die for such a view. Wonderful capture of the light and the colors of Spring.

Thank you so much for dropping by my portfolio and leaving a comment. Very much appreciate. Cheers, Andree

Thanks Carsten, you're right, Velvia provides all the colour I need. None of my film images have been manipulated in any way - they're just scanned and a shallow S-curve applied to bring back some of the contrast if required and then sharpened. Velvia does the rest!

Excellent the contrast of strong saturated colors. Good to see it is Velvia - if it were digital, some purists would quarrel with PS manipulation etc ;-)
But mother nature presents us a really wonderful color palette now, and you were lucky with a great lighting situation !
Regards;
Carsten

Ah yes you bluebell shot from last year was the 'definitive' bluebell shot. I'm looking forward to seeing what you produce this year (no pressure you understand - hehe).

I like the contrast in the bright fresh green and the deep blue. very nice.

Untouched by humans....there are not many places like that left in the world. Thankyou for sharing it with us Barry.

Mary, there are a few narrow paths in the woods but once you stray from them you can't help but step on bluebells! In the next week they will become so dense that it will be difficult to see anything of the woodland floor.

what a beautiful place. Where do you walk? It looks like everyplace you'd be treading on these flowers. Great colour.
