Hi todd, thanks for visiting and the congrats. This one got BIPed quite a while after I had posted it. So, by then the comments had been made and the picture was fairly far down on my page. Hi, Randy. Thanks for your comment and noticing the BIP. It was put on just a few days ago and this picture is now quite far back on my page. The Award was certainly a surprise.
Re the frame on this picture. When I posted this, I had recently learned how to do this type of frame and thought it was kind of neat. So, I perhaps over used it. Looking back on this picture, I think it probably would have been best to leave it with no frame or maybe just a very simple shadow frame. There is already enough going on it the picture itself. I do appreciate your giving your PO. Thanks.

Hi Mary, I came to your portfolio to comment on an image and I didn't see anything new....so I started looking at your other images and I thought that you had so many wonderful images, and you do...I also thought that you should have won some awards for them since they are definitely the quality of others who have gotten awards for the same kind of image, and I know this is a very large site and that sometimes images get missed..I also recently learned about the Donor Forum and that anyone can go into the "photo of the day" thread and recommend awards...I try to do that everyday...and yesterday I recommended you and your portfolio...they don't always award everything that I suggest but sometimes they listen as they clearly did with your image, as well they should have, and when someone gets an award on an image that I suggest, I feel almost like I got an award too..I like to go back and say congratulations...so congratulations to you on a well deserved award...:):)Linda

Larry, I am sorry for being so long in replying. Life has been a little hectic. Re the frame: Bill Voizin of UF was kind enough to explain to me how to do it after I had enjoyed it on his flower pictures. In PS, use the Marque tool to indicate the area you want to frame. Under Edit choose Cut. (You can fill in the space with the Piant bucket if you wish.) Then under Edit choose Paste. You may have to use the pointer to move the picture so it matches the space. Sometimes I find this a little tricky. A thin line on a side is okay sometimes as it will be covered by the framing. Under Layer choose Layer Style. I have used only Inner and Outer Glow and Inner Shadow. Haven't had time to experiment with the other options. Use the Dialog box to determine the size and colour. When finished under Layer choose Flatten Image. And there it is.

You built an excellent photo with gorgeos colors that would have made the little figure of the person invisible, had you not put it in a position in which it cannot be ignored.
