Two very precious words. But increasingly marginalised in modern Japan. This image is a nice evocation of them. As a matter of definition I'm not sure I'd include "unconventional" among their attributes. One thing you learn in Japan is that everything is hidebound with tradition and there are well-established standards--even for wabi and sabi.

I like that concept. Maybe it's also a way of seeing things. They become transformed; or maybe the seer becomes transformed.

"Beautifully unconventional" as you say Gayle. Appealling to the senses and the mind. Regards--Bill Voizin

Perfect befitting about. How did you do this, bringing this incredible concept to life. Your mind, your talent, your vision, I wish I had them. This personifies you, my friend. This is you.

I couldn't say it better than Terry Ward's comment, "softly beautiful". (Terry I hope you don't mind.)

Very simple and tender. Somehow it evokes me a Zen garden.

Good job with Photoshop!
