About THE WOODLAND
I love the woodland, lush and green,
Where only Godlike things are seen,
A trickling steam, a waterfall,
A fern bed green, a wild birds call.
Cushioned moss against a tree,
A blooming rose's perfumery.
(taken from a poem by: J. Marie Phillips)

This shot was taken at the Stamford Arboretum.

Such a peaceful scene. It's amazing that water can be so still. This is the sort of picture I have difficulty turning away from.

I cloned out the two bright spots in the foliage, and for the tree trunks I 'borrowed' the color from one of the darker trunks, then used a brush that lets you 'paint' that color and brighness over the brighter ones.

That looks better, did you clone them out? Alison

Wow, what a beautiful reflection shot, Alison! It looks like such an ideal spot, like Walden Pond! I love the lush spring greens in this - very refreshing. The only little nit is that there are a couple of 'hot' spots on trees on the far shore, upper-left, but those can be toned down...
Really nice photo!
