It's the effect...I just can't get used to it. Love this shot, though.

Oooh when did you get a lensbaby? I'm also jealous when Dina posts her shots with the lensbaby, it looks so awesome. Love the sense of movement you get with the way you've used it here. Does create such a neat look.

Pat, is it the effect of the lensbaby you don't like or using it? (Have you tried one?) I've seen some lensbaby shots that I really liked (they can be so "dramatic"), and thought for $80 (from a place in Buffalo) it was worth having in my bag of lenses. Of course, now I find out there's a Photoshop action that simulates the lensbaby effect..! However, having the actual lens allows me to see the effect (in the viewfinder) *before* I snap the shot. I think it'll be fun to experiment with..:)

i love this shot. i love the lens baby when used right. I think the way her hands are out, the toning & blur makes you "feel" with her ... nice job.

Very cool shot. I love the expression, it works so well with the lensbaby effect and motion of the swing.
