Location City -  PN Serra da Canastra
State -  MINAS GERAIS
Country - Brazil   Brazil
About Top part of the first waterfall in the São Francisco course, occurring 14km from its source, near the edge of the National Park.

The Casca d'Anta waterfall is just over the edge past those rocks. At nearly 200 meters, it is one of the highest in Brasil.

The waterfall is named after a tree that used to occur around the falls: Drymis brasiliensis.

There will be more photos of this waterfall from other angles.

In the distance "Serra da Babilônia" (Babylon Range), where the Paraná river has its source. The Paraná flows west and south, towards Paraguay and Argentina, whilst the São Francisco flows north and east, towards the Brazilian North-eastern hinterlands.

PS: basic levels and curves for contrast, and some blended layers for colour burning/dodging in specific areas.

In contrast to your previous photo I commented on, this one is well composed, with vibrant colors and an S shaped view of the river that leads the observer's eye into the background.
Thank you, my new freind, for your detailed comment on my "Portrait of a friend." On reflection I think you are right and his smile might have been genuine.
Best regards,
Rafi

Excellent capture Angelo, I like it allot, The sharp details are amazing,
There is only one thing in regard to this capture,
I wish there were more space for the sky, this is of course my humble opinion,
Beside that the capture is more than wonderful,
Keep up the good work,
Cheers,

Hello angelo
Im not that good with landscape images so everything I say would be from my humble knowledge
I like the use of maximum DOF but it seems too busy?! The stones in the foreground seem just a tiny bit over exposed
Try using photoshop layers to darken those stones even more
