Nope, I didnt have to manipulate anything, the rain water was pouring over the side of the gutter, like a water fall! And it usually rains vertically here =D unless its windy

Did you have to use PS to get the rain to fall that direction? LOL I'm on the lower boarder in the gorge our rain is horizontal. I love this kind of rain too, good shot I'll have to try this.
