Thanks for the comment Vinay... I'm a dedicated tree hugger myself so could not resist this one... though apparently this is a very old Ivy plant... stunning to look at though.

You will have to snap a shot of those flat trees when you remember where they are... hmmm... wonder if the lemons are used to make flat lemonade? tee hee )

This is one very very old Ivy (Hedara) Sue... I would imagine it has been there for over 100years to get a trunk like that! You can make any tree grow flat against the wall by careful training. I was at a sately home a few years back and they had 'flat' Lemon trees where the tree was about 8ft wide and only came out from the wall by about 6 inches! I beleive its to do with tying the branches back against the wall as the tree grows. I'll se if I can remember where I saw them - it was somewhere in the North East near Richmond from memory....
Great shot Sue! Lovely colours and shapes.

It is Brian (the one on Prudhoe street that is) Maybe a clever Ivy that has disguised itself as a tree to spy on us dog walkers! lol
Thanks for the comment. Sue xx

Thank you Bruno.. I agree about the light... cropped it down to extinquish most of it, though didn't want to take it down further... think it would have spoilt the effect of the tree if I had cut out the wall at the far side.
Alas... have not yet mastered PS enough to know how to elliminate this sort of flare.

It does make a beautifull photo. There is always so much detail in trees, and this one being so unique, was very good features. There is only a little bit of light that disturbes the attention on the right upper corner.
