About
I said it before, we had an interesting and diverse Sunday afternoon. After visiting the Swedes at their Midsummer Fest, and looking at the old Viking ship, we stopped by at this beautiful and brand new Hindu Temple in Bartlett/Illinois. It is the largest traditional Hindu Mandir (Temple) of stone and marble in the United States and was opened in August 2004.
A real close up of the intricate stone carvings. More detail about this Temple can be found at http://www.swaminarayan.org/globalnetwork/america/chicago.htm
Picture details: Aperture: f8, shutter: 1/1000s, focal length: 102mm, no flash, no tripod.
I like the thought here, Jurgen . The only thing I would suggest is something to give it scale. I see the flag on the right, but it doesn't tell me if this is 6 inches or 60 feet tall.
You know this could have benn a small chinese ivory carving that have amased me in the past. Only the flag gives it a scale. Great crop and positioning.
