About This series is from the annual civil re-enactment event hosted by the Lake County Discovery Museum last weekend. Various groups of soldiers camp out in the preserve for a weekend and have their big battle on Sunday afternoon.

Not over yet, Larry. Much more action still to come including cavalry attacks. Not clear who actually won. By that time, I was in the middle of the battle field (trying not to get kicked out) and too far away from the narrator to hear the end. Everybody looked happy though.

Indeed, they made remarks about the authentic thick wool clothes they were wearing. I was in shorts and t-shirt and it was uncomfortably hot for me.

This is another interesting series, I particularly like this one and No 1. the lines and colours/tones glinting int he sun were very good.

Although that has always looked like fun...and they do a lot of re-enactments around here (one in my neighborhood and one where I used to live not far from here (Valley Forge)...I could never do it. I don't know how they can dress like that in the summer heat!
I'm sweatting just looking at them!
