That yard must be alive with flying buzzing things, looks so peaceful to stroll around in. It's nice to see and share something so simple and personal from your home. Great minds and all that:

Live8 concert begins on MTV at 9am here and highlights at 7pm which is what i will probably catch since the "Tall ships" are in nearby Tacoma and want to scope out a place in the a.m. for shots with my telephoto since expecting 500-800 thousand to attend and they are busing people in due to the limited parking...got a few shots early evening last nt.,but only 2 ships of the 30 expected were docked where i was...majestic ships!

This is nice, it looks very peaceful. Those bushes around the trees (or are they part of the trees?) look like what we have out back but we have that white fly infiltration (is that what it's called?) looks kinda like lite cotton candy on the leaves - real pain. Do you know about that stuff? Wanna get rid of it but don't want to use pesticides. Waiting for the flag shot. We're all so patriotic this weekend - very nice. Mark PS. Are you gonna watch Live 8 tomorrow? (www.live8live.com)

hmmmm....guess you are remembering the film where the man is looking thru the window with binoculars..LOL..now it has that feel to me!...next time maybe i should include a foot or a hand barely visible in the tall weeds..LOL..thanks for comment ;>

Beautiful vista, Gayle. Maybe I'm loco, but it strikes me as a bit Hitchcockian. A lovely view, but the slight telephoto-feel seems to insist you should look closer for something not immedeately apparent - like a McDonalds arch or... :))) Just kidding, Gayle (about McDonalds that is, not about the Hitchcockian feel). /Hansi

wow that is the nicest backyard I have seen in a while. if mine had one flower I would be happy. Mine looks like you could host a Mud Bog competition.

This has a delightful homey feel to it. I like the curtain at the edge of the window and the fact that the window frame is not sharp. What a shame to have to mow the flowers. It's so nice the way it is.

hi, your version works,too...i tried diff. crops and always returned back to this one which is only slight crop from original...i need to get the weed trimmer to it,but i love the cheerful natural look...my property managers would disagree and i could lose my lease if i don't keep yard "tidy",so gotta follow the rules this time :(

Gayle looks like you are happily settled in this house [I hope so] and a lovely shot of the 'wildflower field' :) I have changed the perspective - hope it makes you feel as though you are sitting by the window looking out

I like the simplicty of this image. But for some reason it seems a little sad, being in, looking out. I wish my weeds were that beautiful!
