I am not American, just your wonderful neighbour to the north :-), but, Gayle, I gotta say, this photo is poignant and has an incredible touching, heart warming quality that I, even as a Canadian, can feel. You have done a truly magnificent job of delivering a subdued yet patriotic rendering of your flag with the whispered kaliedoscope of reflections.

I don't know how you got the effects on this, but it's fantastic! This is one of the better flag photos that I've seen! Carolyn

There is a need for MUCH change on some fronts... and much more BACKBONE on others. No doubt that your sharp mind harbours many ideas worthy of discussion.... your political provocations are healthy and good... ..Brad

Dear Gayle, Tell me it's the 4th! There's so many illegal fireworks flying around here that it's almost "shock and awe" (well, at least it's good to know our border's are secure from bringing this stuff in). Anyway, very nice shot and it looks like you have NY in there too (I see Ms Liberty I think). Good work, hope you enjoyed the day more than I did. Thanks for the comments (Omar's much better BTW) Mark

Wise and sensitive words and a beautiful image to go with them. Masterful manipulation and creativity.
