About Our guide Jurandir, from Trilhas & Trilhas (www.trilhasetrilhas.tur.br) admires the water fall off Casca d'Anta.

The river has gouged a 95m canyon before falling a further 195m.

It throws out a heck of a lot of spray, and it was windy, but I managed to wait for a dry moment to lift the camera up and capture this scene.

I have rotated the canvas slightly. I know it still looks a bit leaning, but I think it is an illusion from the shapes of the rocks. Look at Jurandir and his standing leg for a reference.

Also, on this one the sky at the top was much too blow out. I didn't resist and pasted in a bit of sky from "Serra da Canastra (viii)".

Hope a bit of PS editing does not spoil your enjoyment of this scene.

With this, we say goodbye to Serra da Canastra. That's the end of this long series. Hope the good parts made up for the bad parts to some degree.

Beautiful scene. Plus the man who's looking at the water fall. Nice work!

Dorival,

Tenho um polarizador Cokin mas nao usei nessa foto, pois foi tirada com a zoom super-angular da Sigma, que só aceita filtros em gel, no compartimento traseiro da lente.

Grande Angelo!
Acho a composição e o enquadramento dessa foto perfeitos, a pessoa no primeiro plano enriqueceu a foto. Você usa filtro polarizador? Um abraço

And what a beautiful scene this is! Love the various shades of green in this image! Looks straight to me! I would never let a little Potato shop get in the way of my liking an image or not liking an image, it is the end result that matters most to me! I just wish that I had such pretty scenery to work with as you obviously do! :)

Sarcasm?

Your comment reminds me of a sign at a traditional small American Burger joint:

"This ain't Burger King. You get it MY way or no way at all."

;)

Watch this space...

Dear Angelo, I'm trying to think if the bit of PS editing spoiled my enjoyment...ummmm...OK , NO, it did not ! (Sarcastic Yank is back.) A very nice shot and it was a good idea to put your guide in for some perspective. So, we say Adios (forget in Brazilian.....I know, Portuguese) to Serra da Canastra and wait for what's next. How about "My London" we can see your place of work, Pub, Fav. Restaurant, CD shop - NOT Virgin mate, etc. How's that sound? I get a brilliant idea like, about, every 5 minutes - a gift but also a curse, Mark

A wonderful view and I like the inclusion of the person. You have aligned this well and the reference point to a keen observer goes unsaid. Colours clarity and details all are well presented. Personally I love the little triangle at the top with the clouds touching the opening of the falls and the bit of blue...then I love the turmoil at the bottom of the falls where the srpay fills the air. A pleasure. Cheers, Gerhardt

Beautiful capture with nice saturated colors. The inclusion of the guide gives a great sense of the scale and size of the falls.

Uau, linda cachoeira e linda paisagem. Suas fotos da serra da canastra são intermináveis. Se Deus quiser, sábado estarei visitando belas cachoiras como essa em Cavalcante de Goias. Um abraço Angelo.
