Thank you for your suggestions. I have to be honest that I really didn't think much of my own work, since I've seen so many beautiful photos of Mono Lake. You're right about the contrast, & the tripod really wasn't working that well, so, it probably needs to be straightened a bit as well. I'm not sure about the specifics on the photo, the camera was on auto.
This is actually a very pretty view. I can't imagine 11 people looking at this and having nothing to say. I love the pastels in the skies and the formation protruding out of the water. I think this image could benefit by being rotated maybe one degree to the right, I also list a bit when I shoot! ;) And maybe a little contrast adjustment with some saturation to correct what is lost from the contrast adjustment. Otherwise it is composed beautifully.
