Yes I was close , about 50 feet I would guess. In reference to your scrawny comment, raising a litter really takes the life out of them ! I photographed one 4 years ago that looked like death warmed over. She has a nice healthy coat though, just a little tired.

This is a beautiful photo, everything about it is perfect. Great frame, color is outstanding and the subject is one that you don't see everyday. If you had it up for rating I'd give you a 7.

Great shot and you must have been fairly close the lense is only 200mm. The fox is very colourful and surprisingly scrawny.

Yes, you are lucky. The only creatures I have in my yard are rabbits and an occasional frog. And I don't have this lens..it's on my wish list.
