Lovely scenic shot, Michael...I love the composition. Me, I'd leave the foreground in...it plays an important part in leading up to that stunning ridge and skyline. The image flows beautifully from right to left. Beautiful piece!

I think you are correct. What can I say? I suck. I was at the time just happy to have a 12 mm lens that I forgot I still had to compose the shot.

Absolutely splendid sky and gorgeous light, Michael. What a view...
With a sky like that, I would have been very tempted to tilt the camera up a bit more, lose some foreground (pretty boring) and get some more of that cloud and sky.

Exceptional cloud patterens and yes you are right, shadows give the photo a very different characterstic. Brilliant colors too.
