About I had to upload this to be reminded that we still have summer. Since our return from Russia a week ago there was no opportunity to take a sunbath. Always cold and rainy.

I took this one a month ago in our garden.

Danke, Neil.

Your german is quite understandable, Colin. Where did you learn it?

I've found the feathering option on my tablet PC, where I have an English installation of PS. In German it's "Weiche Auswahlkante". Thanks for your support. Normally, I try to do all the work with my camera, but sometimes PS is quite helpful.

Regards, Markus

Your English is excellent Markus, a lot better than my German!

Thanks, Colin, for your comprehensive comment. Unfortunately I don't understand, what you mean with "I would use more feathering on the outline, before sharpening, though." It's my poor English, I suppose.

A fine macro, illustrating the fantastic, compound eyes. I love the shadow detail on the stem, nice and contrasty. I would use more feathering on the outline, before sharpening, though. It would help it blend into the picture.

Thanks again for that superb website, Markus.

Brilliant macro Markus! Crisp photo with excellent clarity. The Dof is great; lets you see the whole insect. Just super. This one is flying straight into my favorites.

Sorry about the weather, Markus. The photo, however, is excellent. Very good dof and both transparency of the dragonfly's wings and their shadow.
Thank you for your kind comment on my "Light from within 6, 8 and 7."
I'll attach the latter as I think you would have liked to see it.
Best regards,
Rafi
