Robert, better to make those corrections before taking the picture! Get yourself a polarizer and keep practicing in framing properly in the viewfinder.

Janice, Thank you for commenting. I love my camera, i cant put it down. I am still learning what all it can do as well. Alot of my images are taken in auto as well, i attempt with the manual, but still make simple mistakes, but I am learning. -Robert

Robert, this is a nice idea for an image and you did well to get all of that long bird in without cutting off his tail! I fooled with this a bit in PS to illustrate my thoughts on improvemnet. Most of what I did in PS could have been done better in the camera, by framing it with just a bit more space on the bottom and by using a polarizer to intensify the colors. My PS work is quick and dirty, but I think it illustrates my thoughts better than I can write them!

Panoramic! Love the way you caught the bird with his detailed colorful plumage over the harmoniously green grass yet his main body, with the large patches of grey and black, over the sidewalk's apron. The focus is balanced since you captured him flat on plane. Beautiful! ...Gab

Robert this is wonderful...love it..nice colors and composition, I like the angle....very nice, it looks just a tad over-sharpened. I love this simple composition, nothing to detract from your subject...I might have gone with a little more space under him and maybe have cropped off the top portion where the grass is burnt out...but making sure to leave him some head room, that would also give you a stronger diagonal in your composition....this is a long bird with those tail feathers, and you did really well to get it in the frame...very impressive...and it's definitely a lovely capture...very nicely done....beautiful....kisses...:):)

Great colors - our poor little peacocks here have shed their tail feathers in preparation from growing their new ones. How do you like your XT? I just got mine a few weeks ago and am having so much fun learning what it can do - just using auto right now and trying the different modes. Will graduate to manual one day. Jan
