Well, I think this was a one in a million shot which I could never be lucky enough to reproduce without one of those fancy cameras, but I can wait...

Well, I did look very carefully for that very reason. The differences in angle were sufficient to make me undertain whether they were three different butterflies, hence the question. But if you didn't USE that function, why would you need to get another camera WITH it? Seems to me you are doing fine with this one! (says Roger who has FIVE cameras and is thinking of a sixth!)

No Roger, it's achieved with what they call pure luck. :-) If you look carefully, the wing patterns and colors of the three butterflies are different, so it couldn't be a multiple exposure. Plus my 300D doesn't have that function. I guess it's time for a new camera...

Is this achieved with the Canon's rapid-fire multiple exposure function?

Fantastic capture! Hard to believe it was done without two of the butterflies copied in with PS;) Congratulations! Cheers, Markus
