Amazing how trees can grow in this type of terrain. you have shot it beautifully against the cloudy sky. Alison

nice one Michael. i've got a very similar shot from Alaska lying around somewhere. in addition to Dylan's point which i agree with, i'd say that getting a tad closer to the subject might be another option, vs. framing more of the ground. i think doing this, while leaving the abundance of sky might go along with the title and project. and thanks for your recent comment on my photo. cheers, todd

Thank you so much for your comment Dylan. Finally some criticism. Instead of "good shot" or "excellent composition" you took the time out to tell me what could be better about the shot. Don't get me wrong, I like praise but if all you hear is good job then you'll never get better.

In a way I like the framing, and in a way I don't. If the sky was more dramatic/intersting then I would keep this shot, but as it is now the ground is the best part, not the sky.

A simple, interesting, creative idea. Lines and form dominate. The dark area at lower right obscures distracting detail. There is a hint of magenta in the clouds, suggesting maybe a tad of over-saturation. Nicely done.
