About
I hiked into Surprise Lake today with two friends, Dieter and Dwain. This hike is unusual as very few people go here in fact the trail in is very fugitive ...hard to find .... so the whole way in we had to bushwhack in on some difficult terrain. Mostly miles of large sharp boulders perched on steep slopes making forward movement difficult and tedious. But at the end we were rewarded with this great view were we proceeded to fall on our backs and have a nap preparing ourselves for the other half...going out. I must say I am pretty wiped now, but hey, I can rest some other lifetime.
Great Canadian landscape, Tim. The foreground rocks are in fine focus, balancing the pin-sharp distant ridges. The people and golden dog, add yet more interest, to a superb mountain scene. Just the right amount of summer sky visible, with spot-on exposure.
